CARL GUSTAV JUNG

Born July 26, 1875. Unabashedly the artist, knowing that to understand the inner self, one must explore the inner self; painting mandalas and portraits of his fantasies. Not only identified the archetypes, but lived the archetypes. What other psychiatrists have built their own castle-house to live the body as 'house' of the soul? He forced his way down into the unconscious by sheer will, after all, he would be a phony if he did not understand what 'part of the house' his patients resided in. Had a walloping out-of-body experience near the end of his life, where he gazed down at the Earth in all of its glory. He died June 6, 1961. His daughter recites the story that just minutes after his death a poplar tree outside his room was struck by lightening and split in two. In symbolic terms, this denotes a 'clean break' from the physical world to the ethereal, out with a 'bang' and what a finale! Carl Jung - LIVING THE SYMBOLIC LIFE TO THE END, respectfully earns the title of...
